The arrests, conducted from 8:00 AM on May 1 to 8:00 AM on May 2, 2026, coincided with the heightened deployment of police forces for Labor Day security measures across the Philippines.

The individuals apprehended were wanted for serious crimes, including:

  • Rape, statutory rape, and qualified rape
  • Murder and qualified statutory rape
  • Sexual assault in relation to RA 7610
  • Trafficking in persons
  • Syndicated estafa
  • Carnapping
  • Robbery with homicide
  • Violations of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act)

Notable arrests included:

  • A suspect in Bulacan facing two counts of rape and lascivious conduct
  • A wanted individual in Quezon for statutory rape
  • A top regional fugitive in Biliran charged with frustrated murder and robbery with homicide
  • Several suspects in Leyte, Isabela, and Negros Occidental linked to multiple counts of rape and murder-related cases

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized that the operations demonstrate the police force’s ability to balance public safety and law enforcement. “While we were focused on Labor Day security yesterday, our pursuit of wanted persons continued. He further highlighted the importance of coordination among field units, noting that the operations align with the PNP’s Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
