The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has recently launched the OFW Travel Pass, which replaces the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC). Overseas Filipino Workers can access the pass through eGovPH, a mobile app that serves as a “one-stop shop” and features all government services in a single application.
This latest initiative goes in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who envisions the digitization and streamlining of all Philippine government services and transactions. Read on to know more about the OFW Travel Pass!

DMW Launches OFW Travel Pass
According to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the OFW Travel Pass shall serve as a digital pass for the documentation and exit pass of OFWs. All they have to do is download the eGovPH app on their mobile phone, follows the steps, and register their details.
Additionally, eGovPH provides access to over 70 national government agencies, while also serving as a digital identification tool. Moreover, it connects users with their respective Local Government Units (LGUs) and services.
How to Access OFW Travel Pass
How can you access your OFW Travel Pass through the eGovPH app? Here is a step-by-step guide, as shared by the DMW on their official Facebook page:
- First of all, download the eGovPH mobile app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).
- Create and register a new account using your valid email address and mobile number.
- Once you have registered, log into the app, then navigate to these tabs: “NGAs,” then “DMW,” and then “BALIK-MANGGAGAWA” (Returning OFW).
- On the Homepage, press the “BALIK-MANGGAGAWA” tab. Your Travel Pass profile and other information will appear on the screen. That’s it!
