Last December 2025, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., inaugurated the Bagong Pilipinas One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center, located at the Deparment of Migrant Workers (DMW) in Makati City.
As the name suggests, the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center is a place where overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families can access different types of services. The center in Makati City serves those who are based in southern Metro Manila and adjacent provinces.

All About the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center
At the inauguration ceremony last December, President Marcos described the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center as follows: “Isa itong simbolo ng isang mas mabilis, maayos at pinagsama-samang serbisyo para sa ating mga OFWs (This is a symbol of faster, smoother, and integrated services for our OFWs).”
“Layunin nitong gawing mas madali ang proseso, mula sa reintegrasyon, legal na tulong, hanggang sa pagsasanay at iba pang serbisyo na kailangan nila (This aims to make the process easier, from reintegration and legal assistance, to training and other essential services),” the President said, as cited by the Philippine News Agency.
Furthermore, President Marcos mentioned that the center will help “remove the complication of bureaucracy for migrant workers. Notably, the new center in Makati is the 23rd facility nationwide and the fifth in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Services Offered at OFW AKSYON Center
The One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center provides “full-cycle” support by offering various services at every stage of OFWs’ journey, from departure and employment overseas, to their return and reintegration into their families and communities. These services include government services, the DMW AKSYON Fund, Migrant’s Brew, OFW Children Circle Station, and other facilities.
Government Services
The center provides services such as “Balik Manggagawa” (Returning OFW) processing, legal assistance, reintegration support, and many more. It also facilitates services from several government agencies like the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Moreover, it extends services offered by other departments such as Agriculture, Health, Labor, Science and Technology, Social Welfare, Trade and Industry, and Tourism.
DMW AKSYON Fund
The One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center offers different types of assistance through the DMW AKSYON Fund, a comprehensive support system that provides medical aid, financial assistance, emergency assistance, legal aid, and repatriation services. Its main aim is to provide immediate support to OFWs in distress, thus ensuring their overall safety, security, and well-being.
Based on a news release last February 2025, the DMW has helped more than 135,600 OFWs through the “Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFWs na Nangangailangan (AKSYON)” Fund.
“The AKSYON Fund provided assistance and support to around 135,000 OFWs,” according to DMW Secretay Hans Leo Cacdac. “Hindi nagiging issue ngayon yung pagbibigay ng tulong — legal, medical, financial sa ating mga OFWs because of the full support of the President, at ng ating Kongreso to protecting their rights and welfare (Providing assistance — legal, medical, financial to our OFWs is not an issue because of the full support of the President and our Congress to protecting their rights and welfare),” he said.
It is also worth noting that the AKSYON Fund has provided timely and much-needed assistance to OFWs in conflict zones, as well as victims of illegal recruitment and trafficking. This includes the repatriation of more than 3,5000 workers from war-torn areas such as Lebanon, Israel, and the Red Sea.

Migrant’s Brew
Interestingly, another kay feature of the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center is Migrant’s Brew, a café that serves unlimited free coffee and snacks to visiting OFWs and their families.
At Migrant’s Brew, OFWs can simply relax and enjoy free coffee snacks as they wait for their various transactions to be processed. The place also serves as a venue where OFWs and their families can connect with one another as they avail of services from the DMW.
What’s more, the café is instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship and nationalism, especially since it serves Philippine-made products and encourages the exchange of ideas. Among the food served are kakanin (rice cakes) and other delicacies that are sourced and prepared locally.
OFW Children Circle Station
In addition, the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center features the OFW Children Circle Station. This is a dedicated area that aims to promote a holistic and inclusive environment for OFWs and their families, providing them with facilities and materials that engage and support OFWs and their dependents.
Other Facilities
At this point, it must also be noted that the building that houses the One-Stop OFW AKSYON Center also serves as a DMW Annex. This means that some of the offices at the DMW Head Office in Mandaluyong City will be relocated here, in order to help accommodate the department’s growing number of personnel.
Correspondingly, the center complements the eGov PH mobile app, an application launched by the Philippine government last June 2023. Seeking to facilitate faster and smoother government services, this app can be used for a wide variety of purposes: getting a birth certificate or driver’s license, paying taxes, viewing GSIS or SSS records, and acquiring an e-Travel pass, which is one of the requirements when leaving or returning to the country.
