PH Gov’t Blacklists 21 Foreign Recruitment Agencies

A total of 21 foreign recruitment firms and direct employers were blacklisted by the POEA, in the government’s bid to rid the overseas placement industry of misfits, as reported by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

As per Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) chief Bernard Olalia, eliminating the industry of such as part of the intensified regulatory exercise to protect Filipino workers seeking overseas employment.

POEA Names 21 Blacklisted Foreign Recruitment Agencies in the Philippines

The POEA noted that those who were sanctioned with suspension, fine or cancellation of licenses were found to have violated recruitment rules from January to July, as shared in a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Of note, some of those who were ordered for suspension or cancellation of permits eventually had their licenses restored after the cancellation or suspension was reversed on appeal.

Olalia shared that the POEA has already disclosed the list to make the public aware especially those seeking overseas employment overseas regarding the erring companies.

The agencies that were disqualified by the POEA include:

  1. V Global Harvest Pte Ltd.;
  2. Isa KhouriMetal Industries Ltd. and Amir Khoury;
  3. Raffles International Christian School;
  4. Al Tauqueet Trading and Services Est/Al Tauqet Trading & Services Co.;
  5. Noora Salem Saad Occie for Recruitment of Domestic Helpers Office;
  6. All Pro Recruitment Agency, Marwan Slim;
  7. Food Equipment Supplying Co. Ltd. & Thaer H. Abdou;
  8. Wanasah Manpower Supply & Mohammed Naser Al Naser;
  9. Bader Contracting & Trading Co./Bard Contracting and Trading;
  10. Speedy Tech Electronics Co. Ltd.;
  11. Staff Buro Staffing, Candice Cruz and Allan John Wilton;
  12. Jalal Al Jalal Construction Est./ Al Nassr Ahssa Trading Contracting Co./Jalal Al Jalal/Saad Saleh Al Jalal;
  13. Marhaba Shopping Center;
  14. Hadi Al Hamroor Contracting Est. and Fawzi Al Najrani Est./Fouzi Saleh Najrani Contracting;
  15. Yacht Tours Maldives Pvt. Ltd.;
  16. Al Falax Electronics Equipment and Supplies Co./Al Falak Equipment;
  17. Agensi Pekerjaan YSL SDN BHD Lim Pooling and Saw Boon Foong;
  18. West Labour Supply and Abdalla Ali Adalla Alsari;
  19. Tsaheel Al Janoob Office for Recruitment;
  20. Al Bahli Manpower Recruiting Office & Omar Saad Al Hamad; and
  21. Special Manpower Supply.

Meanwhile, the agencies that were meted with suspension or fine from January to July 31 are:

  • Double M Marine Services;
  • Danasan Manpower & Management Services;
  • Summit Placement and Resources;
  • Masters International Placement;
  • Farland Personnel Management Corp.;
  • Corinthians Placement Services;
  • Ankor Management & Services & Consultant;
  • HBO International Manpower Services;
  • Century High HR Inc.;
  • First Champion & International Entertainment Inc.;
  • Jamal Human Resource;
  • Farland Personnel Management Corp.;
  • Boom International Recruitment Agency;
  • Workgroup International Manpower Services;
  • Osims Oriental Skills International, Health Carousel Philippines Inc.;
  • Mitch International Recruitment Agency; and
  • Falcon Maritime & Allied Services.

Be sure to check with the POEA regarding these agencies and if you’re already working overseas under a recruitment firm, always make sure that they are in good standing with the law so that you won’t get into any difficult situation in terms of your employment overseas.
