The Philippine Embassy now requires everyone availing all consular services to have an appointment first to not make your application more efficient and speedy but also to prevent you from exposure to crowds.
Set an online appointment
When setting an appointment, you must go to this website https://londonpe.dfa.gov.ph/consular-matters/passport#renewal_green, where you have to click on a button that says “book an appointment here.”
Due to the pandemic, the embassy will only entertain applicants with a confirmed scheduled reservation so that crowds will be prevented and social distancing will be observed.
During appointment setting, check your schedule to ensure that you will be able to appear personally on your selected date. Walk-in applicants will not be entertained, so make sure that you secure a reservation first.
Accomplish application forms and other documents
Print out your confirmed appointment as this is going to be presented on the day of your appearance at the embassy.
You should be able to download an application form for renewal at the embassy’s website, free of charge. Take note that the forms for adults are different from those of minors. When filling up the application form, always make sure that you are providing the correct data on the respective boxes as well as your active contact details, as this is where the embassy will be reaching out to you.

Personal appearance

As well as earrings, necklaces, nose rings, and colored contact lenses are not allowed during data capturing. It is also required for male applicants with long hair that they tie their hair for the taking of their photo.

For the passport renewal, you will be taking care of GBP 55.00 using your card or through contactless payment at the cashier of the embassy.

Important things to remember
It is important to comply with the requirements and follow the system of processing your renewal as this is the new norm being applied in the consular services of the embassy. After you have already provided your documents, had your biometrics and photo taken, and paid for your passport processing, allow 8 to 10 weeks to pass before you will receive your new passport through mail. The release of passports is only mailing; this is why it is important that you have provided the correct and current address that you reside in.
