It’s not surprising to find Filipinos from all over the world. It is for this simple fact that as a people, we need to celebrate everything that identifies us to our heritage – from the food we love, our traditions and culture, as well as the Filipino talent. These are just some of the things that were highlighted at the recently held London Barrio Fiesta 2019, the biggest Filipino festival in Europe, which took place at the Apps Court Farm (near Hampton Court Palace) last July 20 and 21. Check out the video below made by vlogger Miguel of BiggyTravels as he shares his experience on what happened during the said event.
The event saw more than 20,000 Filipinos coming together for two days of great food, fun, music and entertainment, which saw the likes of Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach alongside a mix of veteran and up-and-coming performers including Ogie Alcasid, Anne Curtis, Zanjoe Marudo and singer Bailey May.

Running on its 35th year, the Philippine Centre, in partnership with ABS-CBN / The Filipino Channel (TFC), organized the London Barrio Fiesta (LBF), which featured the best of Filipino food, cultural performances and live music from local musicians and artists flown from the Philippines. The event aims to bring together and capture the unique qualities and spectacles of the Philippine fiesta.

The weekend went on very nicely for this event. There were lots of people, crazy beats playing in the background, and of course – lots and lots of FILIPINO FOOD!! It was an event where Filipinos from all over Europe travelled to get to eat their favourite dishes, make new Pinoy friends, and to party with celebrities who flew all the way from the Philippines.
Headlining the event was KZ Tandingan and Iñigo Pascual, who pumped up the crowd with their signature vocals, stage presence and charisma. There were also lots of fun activities, promotions, open booths where you can get great discounts on Filipino goodies from real estate to travel itineraries in the Philippines. Truly, the event was the biggest of its kind in the continent, and if you’re in the area, there’s no reason for you to miss this out.
The event was a grand success, as you can tell in the video posted by our featured vlogger Miguel (aka biggy travels), so be sure to watch out for the biggest Filipino party in Europe next year!
