How to Check Your MMDA Violation Online
Checking for your traffic violation has never been easier. With the different web apps created mainly for this purpose, you can simply check your car’s license plate and provide some information and you’ll have all the information you’ll need to verify whether or not you have a traffic violation to settle or contest.
Via MMDA May Huli Ba website
Settling penalties related to license and traffic violations MMDA violation should be much easier with the website called “May Huli Ba?” The site, according to the MMDA, was set up “to offer an advanced straightforwardness with the administration’s open information government.” You can check via the site for any outstanding MMDA violation. To start,
- Simply visit www.mayhuliba.com.
- Then, drivers can enter their plate number and check their traffic violations, as labeled by the numerous CCTV cameras around the different major roads in Metro Manila.
- The result should show the number and types of infringement/s committed, date, area and time, as reported by the MMDA.
- For negative inquiries, the site will show entertaining messages instead of the details of their traffic violations.
- Note that according to MMDA, the database is not updated real-time and it does take about a week for violations to show up in the site.
Via Manila LGUs No Contact Apprehension website
The City of Manila also recently implemented no contact apprehension, and any violations in the city of Manila can be checked using the LGU’s No Contact Apprehension website accessible via nocontact.manilacity.ph/plate. The site offers two ways to check, by keying in either your plate number or your violation number and PIN code. To start,
- Visit the website at nocontact.manilacity.ph/plate.
- Tick off the boxes in the pop up window to agree to the Privacy Policy (when visiting for the first time).
- Choose whether you want to check via the vehicle license plate or the notice (using the violation number and PIN)
- Tick the captcha box to prove that you are not a robot.
- Hit the Enter Search button to submit the inquiry.
A pop-up will appear to confirm if you have any MMDA violation in the city of Manila.
MMDA Penalty Fee Payment Guide
If it is your first traffic violation, then it is a relatively simple process to settle. Just remember to stay calm and to cooperate with the apprehending officer. You can just settle the fine that comes with it, though it may take just a little more money and effort from your end.
How much time do I have to settle my fines?
If you have a single or up to two traffic violations, then you have, at most, seven days upon receiving your violation receipt to settle your fine. Going beyond that is okay too, except you will need to settle your violation and fine in person, straight at the MMDA Redemption Center located along EDSA corner Orense Street in Guadalupe, Makati City.
What if I have multiple violations?
If you have more than three violations to settle, you must proceed to the MMDA’s Traffic Management Division located along EDSA corner Orense Street in Guadalupe, Makati City and pay for your fines there.
Paying for the MMDA Violation Fees
In the advent of e-wallets and online digital banking, payment transactions at MMDA have also evolved such that there are physical and cashless online transactions available for settling fines due to traffic violations.
To get started, simply follow these steps:
- Check whether your Ordinance Violation Receipt (OVR) is issued by the MMDA or not.
- If it’s not issued by the MMDA, then proceed to the LGU that issued your OVR and pay the corresponding fine.
- If it’s issued by the MMDA, check if the OVR is within seven days or not.
- If it’s issued within seven days, proceed to any Bayad Center and pay the fine.
- If the OVR is more than seven days, you’ll need to follow the following steps:
- If outside Metro Manila: Contact the MMDA Redemption Center via 028822629 (direct line), 028824151-77 (trunkline), 0943331952, or 09178598616 (mobile numbers).
- If within Metro Manila: Visit the MMDA Redemption Center at EDSA corner Orense Street, Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati.
- Check if you have three or more violations.
- If you have three or more violations, proceed to Traffic Academy TEC Traffic Education Center at Valencia Street corner Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Sta. Mesa, Manila to undergo the Road Rules and Safety Training.
- If you do not have three or more violations, then you can just pay the corresponding fine wherever convenient.

Just as how payment can be done online via apps, there are channels that are offline and can be visited if you so wish. Here are some of them:
Pay at the MMDA Treasury Division
If your traffic violation ticket has been issued for over seven days, you wouldn’t have a choice on the method of payments for your fines. You will need to visit the MMDA office at MMDA Redemption Office EDSA corner Orense Street, Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City. Just in case, make sure to bring photocopies of your licenses and OVR with you.
Pay at Bayad Centers
When visiting any Bayad Center branch to settle the fines for your traffic violation, make sure to bring with you your OVR and fill in the bill payment form accurately. Do not forget to keep the receipt as well, in case you are asked to present the proof of payment later on.
Pay via SM Bills Payment
To pay your fines via SM Bills Payment, just visit an SM Business Center/SM Bill Payment Counter, bring your OVR, fill in the bill payment forms, and pay. As always, keep your receipt with you, in case you are asked to present any proof of payment.
Pay via LBC
Another option for paying your fines without keying in your personal details online, is to go physical by visiting any LBC branch. Just make sure to bring your OVR and fill in the bill payment form before paying. Keep your receipt, too, in case you are asked to present proof of payment later on.
There are many different ways to settle an MMDA fine. Whatever channel you choose to use to settle your fines, make sure that you fill out your payment form correctly. Always have your violation notice with you, to ensure that you have the correct information because you’ll need it when filling out the payment form. Once you’re paid, keep a copy of your receipt.
If, however, you think that you have been fined unfairly and you wish to contest your supposed violation, then you have the option to do so by simply going to the Traffic Adjudication Division of the MMDA.
How to contest a violation?
If you have a traffic violation to contest, then you will be receiving summons from the MMDA. You, the traffic violator, have the right to submit a protest within seven days after receiving the summons. Note that failure to do so in the given time period, it will be taken as a blatant disregard of the right to contest the violation.
Within fifteen days of receiving an adverse TAD resolution, the vehicle’s owner may submit a Motion for Reconsideration. And within thirty days after receiving the denial (if denied) of a Motion for Reconsideration, the driver can submit an appeal to the Office of the Chairman, where the final decision on the violation will be made and carried out.
What will happen if the violator doesn’t pay for his violation ticket?
If the traffic violator refuses to pay his penalties or assessed fines as stated in the summons, the vehicle license plate number will be put in the Alarm list and reported to the LTO. Moreover, the vehicle registration will be rejected for renewal until the vehicle owner settles the fines or penalties.
