The diplomatic relations of the Philippines and Kenya started in July 1975 when the first embassy was launched by Charge d’Affaires Ismael D. Quiambao. The first ambassador, Mauro O. Baradi, first arrived in Nairobi, Kenya on August 1, 1975. He then presented his credentials to the then President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta 5 days after his arrival. Currently, the embassy overseas Philippine bilateral relations with Kenya, Comoros, Burundi, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Seychelles, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
