Video: Quarantined Pinay OFW in Riyadh seeks assistance

Many Overseas Filipino Workers experience any difficulties or hardships abroad. While away working for a living. And with the current crisis we’re in as it has even made the situation of most OFWs even worse. A Filipina worker in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking help from her employers.

A video had become viral of a Filipina who is currently working in Riyadh. Based on the video, a woman is seen looking for help while having difficulty catching her breath. This video was taken after she was left alone in the room where she’s serving. The household employers were allegedly tested positive of the virus.

Employer in Riyadh Quarantines Pinay OFW, Filipina Has Had no Salary for 3 Months

The Filipina worker in Riyadh identified herself as Angeline Susi. She was having difficulty breathing while asking for help through a social media website. As stated in her video, she was sick, her employers are positive of the virus and she said that she’s been quarantined for more than 2 weeks.

Angeline said “Magandang gabi po Sir, tulungan niyo po ako sir. Ako po si Angeline Susi, andito po ako sa Riyadh. Humihingi po ako ng tulong dahil sa karamdaman ko. Ilang araw na po ako may sakit at ilang araw na din po ako naka-quaratine dahil po yung amo ko, positive at ako po ung taga-bantay.”.

Her fever had been on going for 3 days and she has breathing difficulties, she’s just been left alone and she felt that she’s being locked, she tried asking help from her employer’s kin but was not given any and ignored.

She was desperately asking for help from her employers and was not given any assistance to go to the hospital, she said that she also had the swab test but was not given any follow up about the test results.

Angeline has been working for 10 months in Riyadh but did not receive any salary for the 3 months. She has been asking for help and pleaded her employers to get the payment she worked for, but was not granted as they said there’s no work done here.
