History – PH Embassy Amman
The diplomatic relations of Jordan and the Philippines were established on March 1, 1976. Both Carlos P. Romulo, the then Foreign Affairs Secretary, and Zaid Al-Rifai, the then Jordanian Prime Minister, signed an agreement that marked the start of the friendly relationship between the two countries. This time around, the then Jordanian Prime Minister also visited Manila for two days. There were delegations as to who will serve the King and Queen during this time and a part of it was the changing of prime ministers of Jordan.
