Important things to remember

When you visit the embassy, you need to make sure that you follow all the healthy protocols for you to be safe amidst the threat of the COVID-19 virus. Don’t forget to always wear your mask and it would be better to have an extra. Bring also your alcohol and be distant from the other applicants. Aside from this, please allow four to six weeks for the processing of the regular renewal passport. If you plan to travel internationally, your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of your departure. However, it would be much better to renew your passport at least one year before it expired.

On top of this, you need to secure your schedule in claiming your passport; otherwise, it will be canceled after one hundred and eighty (180) days as mandated by Department Order No. 37-03. Hence, as a passport holder, you have to be well prepared and informed from any further announcement regarding your renewal processes, especially amidst pandemic, as there may be changes of information or your scheduled visit to the embassy.
