Complete Guide to One-Stop-Shop Centers for OFWs (OSSCO) and Where to Find Them

One-Stop-Shop Centers for OFWs (OSSCO) is a centralized government frontline initiative pioneered by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with several other government agencies and regional offices. It is a very convenient way for Overseas Filipino Workers to process government documents when they go home to the Philippines. No need to go to different locations and offices for different agencies, because you can simply just go to one main office in your region and then process or inquire about different programs from different agencies.

The OSSCO was initially launched on 15 August 2016 at the POEA main office in Mandaluyong City with the sole purpose of helping OFWs save both time and money when processing documentary requirements. This one-stop service center was specifically designed such that OFWs and those who are planning to work abroad can ask for information and clarification and transact and process relevant documents all in one single place.

What are the Benefits of OSSCO to OFWs?

From the time it was created as mandated by President Rodrigo Duterte, one-stop service centers for OFWs (OSSCO) have always been meant to ease the difficulties of OFWs and aspiring OFWs. Based on the primer released about OSSCO, the government had decided to keep all pertinent government agencies in one place, thereby reducing not only the transportation expenses of OFWs but also the time dedicated to applying for and processing their documentary requirements.
